The Descent 2

Tickets! (I know I know overdue post! but I was bz, sry!)

Yeah! I won! I won! I won! *faint* You might think that I maybe exaggerating and making a big deal about just winning a pair of tickets but IT IS! I never won contest for creative slogan. Is NEVER! *angry and wonder why* I mean these complete slogans competition, do you really think people win? How do they rate or choose from? How good is good? and how creative is creative? You have to define that right? Usually there's any contest that related to 'please complete the slogan with not more than 20 words' I will back out. I guess I know that I'm not that creative. But how can you be creative when you limit ppl with just the little amount of words?!!! ok la! I'm just back to square one where I'm not creative.

Let's not argue with that fact and proceed pls. It's one of the many Nuffnang movie contests and I won ONE of it! *pat my own back* *Happy* :D It's the premiere of The Descent 2 @ e-Curve. I always like to hang out at The Curve whether is shopping, eating, getting drunk, movies, it's really a comfortable hang out place to be.

Nice pavement right? while you dine or walk over to e-Curve

Another view from e-Curve

It was a hectic day for me, I almost can't make it to watch the movie but at the end of the day I manage to arrive safe and sound for a good movie. I had watch The Descent (part 1) few years back. In fact, I watch it more than once. I watch TWICE!!! You may think that I'm a brave person or a person who likes to watch scary ghost movies, guess again! You are WRONG!!! While watching the first time, I didn't expected it to be so freaking scary! It just give you the scare because it is based on real life situation. I mean, you really never know what you will discover if you were in a dark cave let alone being LOST! The movie just gave me the scare till my butt was stuck at the edge of my chair and pillow covering over my eyes! When the movie ended, I was so relieved. The second time, I was suppose to watch with my mom and I told her I already watched so it's fine, I knew which part to hide. Still it gave me the chills down to my spine. I had TWICE of nightmares for a few nights TWICE after watching TWICE of the movie! FML x3

I thought the movie ended and stay ended but NO! they have to come out with a sequel.

End of part one, where the only survive manage to escape

Even though part one of the movie already made me have nightmares but I was still tempted to watch it. You kinda lost your adrenaline once your life has gone routine and I want to know how can they top it up with part one. It is an interesting surreal movie and the ending of part one will just keeps you wonder. I never in a million years think that they will make a sequel cos in Msia it wasn't a much talk about movie and not much people watch or heard about it. I didn't know what's the rating then but it certainly not as high as blockbuster movies. I did ask around and 10 out of 2 only have watched part one of the movie before =.= Feel kinda sorry for the director, actresses and production team of the movie. They probably be FML'ing.

Btw, what's not better to watch scary movies while eating your popcorn?! You probably won't be eating much for this movie cos it's either there's scary moments or disgusting moments. If you still can enjoy, you are very good with sustaining these kind of situations. I always feel that somehow Cathay Cineplex's popcorn tastes better. Do you think so?

 Movie and popcorn time!

The Descent 2! (prepare to scream your heart out!)

In this part two of the movie is straight off continuing from the ending of part one. Where the survivor ran out for help. It's like watching those weekly drama series but only you wait longer(years), wtf! I don't want to be a spoiler cos the movie is very straight-forward. You will know what you are watching. There's really not much to say cos it's a scary movie, no point knowing where and when the scare is then you won't be afraid of it! I only can show you what is it be like while you are watching it.

She, Sarah (staring Shauna Macdonald) is the survivor of part 1 and hero

This will be one of the disgusting/disturbing creatures you will be seeing throughout the whole movie

This will be the way they going in/down the cave this time

This guy will be the b*stard of the movie

This will be their battle looks, can you guess other than blood on their face, what else is on it? (Not mud)

Ok go watch the movie now! The movie has two very surprising characters (other than the creatures) and a very sickening twisted ending. I don't know are they planing to make part three but by the looks of it, it seems like there's part three coming....*faint* The sequel definitely could top up with part one of the movie. My heart was literally still pounding after watching it. I already had nightmares after watching it wtf!

dCim 2010

As you know dCim 2010 is going on at Midvalley Megamall's Exhibition Hall on 14th - 16th May 2010. I, of course went to have a peak on what they are having there. I just went for a day, but compare to some photography hot lovers, they tend to hang around the event for three whole days to get the best promotion for their gadgets.

My main purpose of going there is to check out a few cameras that I'm interested in and to check out is there any new cameras launching there. I arrived about evening and there's still a lot of people browsing around the event. Btw, just so you know there have a few booths at the ground floor for you to have a look too. There are Canon, Panasonic, Olympus and HTC. I saw a lot of aunties and uncles trying to purchase digital camera and the booths are feel with them. So, I didn't hang around there yet, I just went straight to the Exhibition Hall. I thought that the event will be quite big or happen or at least that's what I imagine but to my disappointment there wasn't much to see. Most of all there weren't as much brands opening their booth at the dCim. *wonders* There were just the very main and famous brands at the event. There are just the well known brands of Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Leica and some galleries and some accessories booths. Just all that, nothing much impressive.

For quite some time I'm having dilemmas on picking the best suitable semi-pro camera for myself. For budget wise slightly over RM 3k is fine for me. but of course when Canon launch their very affordable yet advance level range of DSLR the Canon EOS 550d, everyone wants a bite of it. My bro went with me to check it out too. He too wants to own it. Of course, you may say that a budget of mine like that could get this (Canon EOS 550d) already but I don't want to have a DSLR! Because...

1.) It's heavy!
2.) I'm not a pro user! I just need a non-pro camera to do a pro job.
3.) It's not convenient to bring it out for traveling and while you go for travel, you want to take good pictures too!

So, it doesn't leave me much choices. I mean semi-pro cameras are for noobs that just wanna act pro right? My choices were Panasonic Lumix GF1 and Olympus Pen E-PL1.

Look at the color! I feel in ♥ with it! Of course the price is my concern!

The Olympus Pen E-PL1 comes with Black, White, Silver and Champagne color.

I do really like both of it and the color choices are very attracting too. (I know, I know, gals tend to decide on buying an item buy choosing the pretties color, why not?! wtf!) You can check out their specs here and here. Both have very good reviews on them and both features are more or less the same with not much of a big difference. Both have their own good stuff that you can't get from the other. Honestly, I'm a Lumix lover and if I get the Olympus I feel very unfaithful towards Lumix! wtf! Most of all, there's been rumors going around that Lumix is planing to launch new gadgets too. *anticipated*  Arrgggg....!!!!! *pulling my hair* it's so hard to decide! If any of you have already own these two gadgets kindly please advise! All I can do now is wait.

OK! back to the dCim 2010. I found my new I mean it's every photographer's wet dreams and to own this baby as part of their collection! I'm here by to announce ~~~ LEICA! OK, it is surprising to find Leica booth in this dCim 2010 cos in Msia there's not much of dealers carries Leica cameras cos it's very expensive for just normal specs compare to other camera brands which have the same result but way cheaper. But it's LEICA! *bow bow bow* Without hesitation, the moment I found their booth, I quickly grab hold on what was had on display cos it was fill with people. I pick up the Lux -20, snaps some picture and totally *faint* and fell in love! It has become my main priority to own one when I get rich! *dreaming* There was a display of Leica M9, guess how much it is? IT'S RM 25 K +++ (OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!) but then the quality of just a Leica digital camera can be compare to Panasonic LX3.

The very expensive Leica M9! (not for trying too)

The design is just classic and simple, NICE!

Trying to pose it

 The Leica Lux - 20

Enough of my unrealistic dreams! Let's carry on. Canon and Nikon booth have certainly draw the most crowd. It's very thoughtful of Canon to have some cute and colorful display within their booth to let us try out their camera and of course both booths have display of their very bazooka lenses for us to play with too.

Canon's cute and colorful display of 'Bajak Hitam'.

This is Nikon's huge DSLR display, I think I should own one as my garden display (haahaa) *swt*

Panasonic Lumix booth

If you like underwater adventure, you should totally get this accessory to snap wonderful pic underwater.

Olympus booth at ground floor
The gallery section was interesting, a lot of photographers' masterpieces were being display but too bad it really didn't draw much attention for the crowd compare to pretty models walking on stage modeling cameras. Well, most photographers are male so they do think with their adrenaline more than their mind. Canon has a EOS Buddy Club for Canon fans and photographer free lancers to join in. You can check out the details here and their facebook fan page. Apparently, they will help find business for you, get discounts for Canon items and stuff. I think is pretty cool of them. This way, you can extend your love for photography even more and well earning a few dollars more is no harm too.

Canon EOS Buddy Club gallery + booth

Got to took a shoot of this model modeling a camera for the crowd

Drawing a lot of male crowds, crowds go blizzard taking photos of models adding to their collection

Bring on the bazookas!

Do you think this guy is 'seriously' asking questions from this pretty lady? (Well, I think so cos he look kinda pro)

I hope next year's dCim will bring in more brands and more cool stuff for us to see. Choices of accessories and gadgets are so much more overseas compare to here and please please please try to set the prices to more affordable prices so that poor people like me can own much more stuffs!

IP Man 2 & Ironman 2

Continuing my Summer Movies! I got to watched IP Man 2 on premier night thanks to a friend of mine to buy advance tickets. The hall was a big hall and it's FULL! So many supporters for the movie! Happy that I'm one of them :P My seats were quite alright it was not center but it's a right higher side seat, so it wasn't that bad. You should consider lucky if you could get ticket last minute.

IP Man 2  葉問2:宗師傳奇

Obviously, this movie is the sequel of Ip Man. (Duh!) If you haven't watched the 1st movie, please go watch it 1st then only watch the second movie. This time Ip Man (starring Donnie Yen) had moved to Hong Kong with his family and wanted to continue teaching Wing Chun there. He then had taken upon some students. One of his students and main student of his was Wong Leong who based on real life history, Wong Leong was Ip Man's best students in his life time of teaching Wing Chun. But very soon, Ip Man came across with Hung Chun-nam (starring Sammo Hung) and had conflict with him. There were few challenges for Ip Man to pass and to ensure he could open his martial school in Hong Kong and of course he didn't lose and had a draw fight with Hung Chun-nam. Being noble and humble as he is, Ip Man doesn't want to pay protection fees to Hung Chun-nam or have anything to do with Hung Chun-nam's organization. (You can just skip this part if you already had watch the movie) If you can recall, in the 1st movie Ip Man had to fight with Japanese and this time he had to fight with British because during that time Hong Kong was under the British colonial rule. It was a Chinese Martial Art Fight VS Boxing!

Donnie Yen had totally brought Ip Man's character to live and made him legendary, I mean, he is a legend but not until we watch this movie right? Just made us feel so proud to be Chinese. I think already had spoil this for people who haven't watch yet. Sorry.... So, I would like to share some stuff that you may not know(yet).

Somehow there's a rumor about Jay Chou playing the role of Bruce Lee in Ip Man 3. Hmm... I think Jay Chou would just stick back to singing than acting?! What do you think? Who is better in acting the role of Bruce Lee in Ip Man 3 as Ip Man's student?
In KL, we have our very own Wing Chun Sifu, Yip Fook Choy who had broken stereotypes and had taken in Kahar Zaitun as his student long ago. Which is well said that Chinese Martial Arts doesn't mean to only learn by Chinese. Read here.
Here's another amazing Wing Chun student! I think if I've to face with him, I will already faint at 1st punch! *Ooch*

Watch him!

NOW! From Kung Fu Masters to more exciting advance Hero! IRONMAN 2!!! ♥Robert Downey Jr. ♥Scarlett Johansson, just ♥♥♥ them! *faint*
 Ironman 2

Robert Downey Jr.  ♥ so handsomely bad boy look ♥
Well, to clear up some bad reviews of this movies cos by now I'm sure most of you had already watch it, but for those who have not watch it yet, this movie is NOT bad at all! It's good as good as the previous Ironman! People who said that it's bad because they have high expectations and high anticipation for this movie. When people have such, they will tend to let their imaginations gone wild especially you have Scarlett Johansson (kidding) in it!
Sexy Scarlett Johansson ♥♥

Hot ! & Kick Ass !

I don't need to say much about the movie, just go watch it. In this sequel though, Pepper Potts (starring Gwyneth Paltrow) gave me a more unforgettable memory of her than the previous Ironman. She did a good job in this sequel really play out the character right and of course she's such a hot mama! and this Ivan Vanko (starring Mickey Rourke), the villain just kept me wondering who is he. He looks really really really familiar. After I Google about him I finally got the mystery solve! He's from WWF the boxing program! No wonder he looks sooooo familiar! He really suits this villain character. The part where he was bang by the car at the race track! DAMN! He's TOUGH! I wouldn't want to cross him in his path too!

For people who have NOT watch Ironman 2 yet or people who had already watch but don't know or miss out, please stay awhile more after the movie had ended and the credits had ended, there's a special sneak peak of the coming sequel. Nice! I just can't get enough of it!

Enough said, there are just too much more movie to watch yet so little time for me to go watch and review about it. FML These 2 movies sure have not disappointed me.
