I hereby introduce you all to Danbo!
 Danbo first picture
Danbo a.k.a Danboard, is made and came from Japan. It's birth came from a manga - Yotsuba&! The manga is about the Koiwai Family, Yotsuba and her dad move to a new neighborhood. Yotsuba is just a 5 year old little kid and she learns new things around her everyday with her dad and her friends. One day, she created Danbo using just cardboard box.

Cardboard box translated to Japanese is Danboard and it was then short term to Danbo. After Danbo was born in the manga, it just brings waves of it's fan all around the world.
Danbo the little box comes in a box? LOL

It started of selling ONLY on  www.amazon.co.jp but it's production is limited. Then, gradually people who got their hands on it, started selling it in batches with higher prices.

I'm really lucky to get it as a gift! Thank you very much!

My little Danbo is always keep my home, not much chances to get out much. Though I will definitely bring her (of course it's a she!) to more places!

Hokkaido Santouka Ramen

Met when BFF last Thursday night at Pavillion Tokyo Street again. We were quite ambitious to try most of the restaurants at this section of Pavillion. We already tried En Ginza Cafe two weeks ago and last week we tried Hokkaido Santouka Ramen!

There are a lot of good reviews for Hokkaido Santouka Ramen, so we just wanted to try out is it as good as the review. I was at the restaurant quite early to beat the long queue. Two weeks ago, me and BFF wanted to tried the Ramen first but the queue was just too long so we gave up and tried others.

As I was there waiting for BFF to arrive, I just lazily snapped some pictures. They have a big wooden sign crafted with the name of the restaurant on it. I'm curious how it should be read. Backwards or from right to left??
You know Chinese readings, during the old dynasty they all read from right to left. Only now, it's read from left to right. For me, I'm sure that name of the restaurant should be read backwards because there's signature at the end of the name. Of course, the name translation of the restaurant has already given out the answer - Santouka.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do reckon that the name of the restaurant is read "山头火", instead of "火头山". Ok, I know I'm blabbering, shall stop now and head to the good stuff.
I'm correct, right?
Half an hour later, BFF finally arrived. I was already hungry when I was in the restaurant and I was even more hungry WHILE waiting in the restaurant! Once you walk into the restaurant, there's a strong aroma of noodle soup surrounding the place. THAT's what's makes me even more hungry! @.@

The menu they provided wasn't a full menu yet. There are still a lot of items which are not available yet. BFF and I just went straight to their Star Product Tokusen Toroniku Ramen (Premium Pork Cheek Ramen) We ordered a bowl to share!

They have different soup base to choose from Shio (Salt), Miso (Soy Bean Paste), Shoyu (Soy Sauce) to Kara-Miso (Spicy). Portion of Ramen comes in Small, Medium and Large.

There's less Shio Ramen in the market so me and BFF ordered a Large bowl of Shio Ramen with their Star Product Tokusen Toroniku Ramen (Premium Pork Cheek Ramen)
Star Product Tokusen Toroniku Ramen (Premium Pork Cheek Ramen)
It was mindblogging! The Premium Pork Cheek! So Tender! So Smooth! So Soft! So Flavour (by itself)! Mixing it with the Shio soup and Ramen is absolutely ichiban! Is either me or the pork! I have never tasted such delicious pork! Or at least this part of a pork! It's just ZOMG feeling when you place it into your mouth!

The Shio soup is just milky and tasted just right. Although it's a salty base soup, it's not salty at all. It does reminds me of home cook pork herbs soup, just that the herbs taste is very mild. To know more about how their soup is made, here's how they made it.
Serve with pickled plum, bamboo shoots, jelly ears and fish cake <3
The texture of the Ramen is thick, chewy and not soggy at all. I hate it when my noodles are soggy. You can just take your time to chew on your Ramen with the Premium Pork Cheek!
They added sesame into the soup which makes it even more fragrant! I added some spicy flakes just to have more 'kick' of flavors. This large portion of Ramen is just nice for me and BFF for sharing.

I will definitely go and tried again when they have the full menu ready. Though the price is a weee... bit pricey but you are having Premium Pork Cheek, so let's not judge it with a price.

Cowboys and Aliens

Yah, from the sounds of it, it doesn't make any sense. Cowboys and Aliens? but to think of it, why not? Aliens are way more advance than humans they could have start abducting humans from the wild wild west! LOL

Thanks to Nuffnang and United International Pictures Malaysia for giving me the chance to chance premier movies! THANK YOU VERY MUCH <3
You may watch the trailer first before continue reading.

The movie is directed by Jon Favreau, the man who brought us Iron Man and the man who loves his aliens no other than Steven Spielberg (Executive Producer)!

Started with Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) who was awake without lost of memory with only a picture of a woman and an iron wristlet on his hand in the middle of a desert. Trying to search for his identity, he stumble across a town of Absolution.
The town was ruled by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford). Everyone in town was afraid of him and put up with his brainless son, Percy (Paul Dano).

Soon after Jake arrived in Absolution, the town was attacked by unknown machines from the sky. Shooting blinding lights and abduct cowboys/cowgirls one by one. Though Jake does not hold any memories, his iron wristlet came alive and is the only weapon that could shot down those vicious machines.
The town's only hope is Jake and his iron wristlet. They hope that Jake could join forces with Colonel to track down the aliens and rescue their abducted love ones.

During these encounters, Ella (Olivia Wilde) who has a secret identity but she was capable of helping Jake, Colonel and his men in their journey to fight against the alien!

I think I reveal too much here. If you want to find out more about the movie, just go watch it! I only can reveal hints here so you can wonder more about it.

Hints: Jake regain his memory which involve the woman in the picture, gold, Indian friends and mega spaceship.

Once again, thanks to Nuffnang and United International Pictures Malaysia for the movie! I had a great time while having my Mc D Strawberry Sundue.
What's not a better way to start a good movie?

PS: I do like the really good sound effect, it's very real to me, the storyline is clear from start until the end, the strong bond of a father and son, father and so called Indian son, rivals united to fight against a common enemy, a husband and a wife, a grandfather and a grandson but I don't like the ugly aliens, gives me the creeps! Ughh...

Mr. Popper's Penguins

Surprise is what I got when I open my email account at the beginning of June! TGV and Nuffnang gave me an early birthday present! I've got myself free tickets to watch movies in TGV!

I chose to watch Mr. Popper's Penguins. Yeah, I know another late post. FML
I do love all Jim Carrey movies. LOVE ALL OF THEM! Thought this movie is another one of my favorite movies of his. He gave us more emo than the funny stuff.

I like how the story is told from start to the end, it's all very well told and nothing is miss out. Most of all, I don't have any favorite animal movies, other than Free Willy and Air Bud. This have definitely gave my list a Top 3 favorite animal movie.

I don't want to tell you much about the movie, you probably have watch it, hear about it, read about or do not plan to watch it but it's a mistake of not watching it, PLEASE GO AND WATCH IT! It's freaking GOOOOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!!

You may watch the trailer and decide but I assure you it is GOOOOODDDDD!!!!!

The penguins are too cute! I never thought that penguins can be so cute. OK, I know their reactions and some what CG made but it's just darn cute! Oh! I want to take one home too. ROFL
Look how adorable they are! I guess their clumsiness made them even cuter! Though in this movie the Lead Penguin - Captain is smart and can fly!!!

The other penguins were named, Lovely, Farty, Loudy, Huggy and Bittey. They all have their very own special character and symbols to differentiate each of them. Best of all, they know how to dance! LOL
This is definitely a homey-family movie and no matter what is the age, they all will love it! I like how the morality message was given out in this movie: "Family comes first no matter what!"
Mommy - Amanda (Carla Gugino), Son - Billy (Maxwell Perry Cotton), penguins, Mr. Popper (Jim Carrey) and Daughter - Janie (Madeline Carroll)
In the movie, the story is being told that materials meant nothing if there's no home and family. The penguins are were very attached to Mr. Popper and somehow they taught Mr. Popper to be attached to his own family and the penguins. Every relationship goes both ways to stay connected longer and loved.
Waiting for baby penguins to hatch out ♥

Of course there's a lot of mischief and funny scene from the penguins and Mr. Popper. Without a doubt, Jim Carrey will always present to us his multi-comical-facial-expressions! A lot of funny scene that would just makes your problems goes away.

There were touchy moments too but I don't want to give it out. So, better go watch it! For me, I can watch this movie over and over and over and over and over and over and over again!!!!!!

Thanks to TGV and Nuffnang once again for the surprise advance birthday present.
♥ Thank you all very much!

En Ginza Cafe

Meet up with BFF at Pavillion KL for dinner last Friday night. The level 6 section of Pavillion was close and renovating for quite awhile and when ever I passby I would wonder what will it be like when it's open.

I was coincidentally there the second day of Pavillion Level 6 Tokyo Street opening. Browse around and it's all so overwhelming for me! It definitely brought more crowd and flavor for Pavillion. It was a short visit there but I sworn to myself that I will tried every restaurant that opens there.

Here I am with BFF at En Ginza Cafe, at first we thought it's a bakery, looking at the delicious breads they offer and the long line of queue of guests were purchasing their breads.
One of the waitress approach us and hand out the cafe menu to us. She also explained that the cafe is a fusion of Japanese and French food. Bells were ringing in my head when I heard this combination of food. Without any hesitation, we were seated.
A view from where we were seated
 A picture of the chief
It was quite late for dinner and both of us are dieting, so we just ordered one person's portion and shared. The menu is very French style with Pasta, Pizza, Sandwich, Burger and so on, thought the ingredients were mixture of Japanese ingredients like Salmon, Marbled Beef, Udon, Azuki (dessert) and so on. It's all very interesting to explore.

Dinner of the night with BFF: ~
 Wafu Mentai Spaghetti
The bowl is too cute not to have a picture of it
One more picture of the shell bowl and yummy spaghetti!
The Mentai sauce is just perfectly delicious and the amount of the sauce is just nice. Not too much nor too little. The prawn is fresh. Mixing the seaweed shreds, Mentai sauce and spaghetti is just heaven for your tummy at the end of the week <3

Main course is done and now the dessert. I always like to finish my meal with dessert, sometimes just want to just skip main course and just indulge in desserts, wtf.
 Tofu Cheesecake
BFF said the cake and decor is just too pretty not to take more of it =.="
The cheesecake has just mild taste of cheese not overpowering the smooth tofu. Texture of the cheesecake is very smooth that it melts in your mouth. Combining with the fresh fruits, strawberry sauce and salty based biscuit is just right of the dot. At first I thought the combination of tofu and cheesecake is a bit weird but it's nothing near weird!

The waitress also mention to us that their barrista has special skills. He is able to create any cartoon character on your coffee such as Hello Kitty, Micky Mouse, Ultraman? Kidding on the Ultraman but would want to try their coffee next visit, or maybe I will challenge him to make me an Unltraman... hahaha..
En Ginza Cafe is surely a place I will want to visit again. Maybe teatime? Would really want to try their coffee as when I walk in the aroma of coffee just floats into your face! The aroma of bread just makes you hungry for some! *Damnit, I'm hungry now*

Formally but Casually Nude

Lately been liking NUDE color wear a lot. Tried playing a lot with this color.
Usually I would dress my work wear "seriously" or you may call it smart or formal. I will dress the normal 3 piece suit with coat/jacket.

It looks all very professional and smart. Been having a lot of meetings and running around a lot, I want to dress comfortable. You know when you wear shirts it gets wrinkle easily or if it's long sleeves it will be hot.

Ever since I found a NUDE slack pants. I just can't stop wearing it! Loving the texture and comfy-ness of it. Good for running around.

I also want to try looking professional or smart wearing a formal yet casual and comfortable work wear.

One with my semi military alike coat button at top.

One with it button.

My finger was blocking the camera a bit so you can't see my shoe. So here's one for my shoe, cute?

Semi military alike white coat: Bershka
Inner spaghetti top: U2
NUDE long slack pants: MNG
Patent grey pump: Vincci

What do you think? Did I match it appropriately? LoL
