David Choi Forever and Ever Tour Live in Malaysia

I shall blog about me attending David Choi's showcase last May, before this post celebrates it's 1 year anniversary in my draft =S *David, if you are reading this, much apologizes.*

I don't think I need to introduce who is David Choi by now. However, if you really don't know, here's a brief. He is Korean American, singer, songwriter, producer, knows how to play multiple instruments and most of all a YouTube sensation!

David Choi had came to Malaysia for the second time for his Forever and Ever Tour at Bentley Music Auditorium. According to him, he really loves Malaysia, his Malaysian fans and *ahem* Roti Kaya LOL Actually David did came to Malaysia again in March this year for a Youth Conference called #REACHOUT with Chester See and Jason Chen. I missed out again but I tweeted to him and he replied!!!!
Honestly, he is very very friendly to all of his fans and very down to earth! I think that's pretty cool of him and he does keeps his fans close XD I'm really happy that I went for his showcase.
Jin from Hitz FM was the emcee of the night. He and David are friends and you may have seen some of the Jinnyboytv videos has David's appearance.
The opening act of the night was non other than our local artist. I'm so sorry but I don't remember her name but she's good. Anyone can recall?
After the opening act, out come David Choi and his band. His band is awesome! David sounds the same in all of his videos! It was like watching YouTube with him in a big screen tv except this is LIVE!
He doesn't just sing during the whole showcase, he interact with us a lot. He talks to us, tell some jokes, telling us stories of how the song came by or how the song has affected his fans. It doesn't feel like going to a showcase, it felt more like attending a friend's showcase. I can say this was one of the most intimate showcase I ever been to! Hope I don't sound weird in saying intimate =X
Pardon me with this pic, don't know why it turn out such bad quality

This is him taking photos of the crowd who went to the showcase. I think he posted in either his Instagram or Tweeter.
There was a Q&A session, whereby fans who can answer his questions correctly, gets his signed poster!
During the middle of the show, David's guitar string broke! He said it happened the last time too.  His band mate helped him switch to another guitar.
Enough said, check out some of the songs he sang in the showcase.

Isn't he amazing? He sang What A Wonderful World as his encore! Oh man! Please do come back soon!
There's a Meet and Greet session after the show and someone asked David to sign his guitar. Cool.

Me and Jin
Met with our local DJ after the show too. Both JFK and Jin from Hitz FM are friendly. I actually met Jin the second time. The first time was when I had high tea with Wong Fu Productions. Speaking of Wong Fu Productions, they made some of David's videos and they uses David songs in their videos =D
I got David's signature on both giant poster and his Forever and Ever CD! This is definitely one of my favorite albums.

Ending this post with the song list of the showcase. I'm sorry if I missed out any songs that he sang during the show.

Avril Lavigne Black Star Tour Live In Malaysia

Well, well, well... February sure FLIES fast for me! It's already March now! Damn! A lot of GOOD stuff happened to me in February that I'm still haven't withdraw back from being hype about it.

Yup! I went to Avril Lavigne's Black Star Tour on the 18th of February with some of my hardcore Avril Lavigne fans!
This was the second time I went a Avril Concert in Malaysia, it was her Best Damn Tour in 2008. Wow! It was that long ago.

This time around it was pack! I was worried about the weather though, because the concert is held open at Stadium Merdeka (same venue for her last tour). It rain in the afternoon after I had my coffee break and luckily it stop raining before I arrived.
Mountains of people queuing to see Avril
Got some souvenir
Bought the tickets months ago~~~
Yes! The most expensive zone!

The last time I went to her concert, I didn't bought the most expensive zone and regretted it and I swore with my Avril Lavigne fan-mates that, if she were to come the next time we will get the most expensive one! Boy! We didn't regret doing it.

The stage was damn close! It's so near that I don't need to constantly looking at the huge LCD screen to have good close-up of her. Nope! Not this time!

There's still so many people behind
This is the Tune Talk Zone
Security was very tight this time around, so strict that they don't even allow glow sticks -__-

Before the concert starts, there's a female DJ did the opening act. She was good, I didn't really get her name, does anyone know her name?

If you are complaining that I'm posting crap pictures, please don't. I'll have good pictures coming up, thanks to a friend of mine who was able to snuck in his DSLR and was great enough to share it with me. You can check out his flikr for more Avril pictures
Crap pic :(
Alright, enough of crap pictures. ALL the awesome pictures coming up!
Rocking in her Abbey Dawn collection
Having fun!
Asking us to sing along

This concert, Avril is more lively and made a lot of interactions with us! No dancers this time, just singing and playing guitar. To be honest, I really do prefer the Rock Avril rather than the Girly-Cute Avril. Rock is made for her and I'm glad that she stays this way now.
Teasing us with your bling pink mic
Rocking with her guitar
She's particularly sexy and playful with us and her bandmates. So cool, or should I say sexy cool? LOL
Sexy and playful
She sang a lot of her older songs which is very awesome for me! I remember playing all her songs again and again in my playlist all day. Though her Goodbye Lullaby is her BBEESSTT album so far!

Here's a list of songs she sang that night:
1.) Blackstar
2.) What The Hell (WTH)
3.) Sk8er Boi
4.) He Wasn't
5.) I Always Get What I Want
6.) Alice
7.) When You're Gone
8.) Wish You Were Here
9.) Unwanted
10.) Girlfriend
11.) Airplanes (Originally: B.O.B feat. Hayley Williams) / My Happy Ending
12.) Don't Tell Me
13.) Smile
14.) I'm With You
15.) Pumped Up Kicks (Originally: The Foster People) sang by one of her band-mates and she played the guitar
16.) I Love You
17.) Complicated
When Avril sang "When You're Gone", I sang my heart out with her and nearly want to weep out. This songs reminds me of one of my saddest moments and listening to this song helped me gone through it.
"I Love You" is my favourite piece in the Goodbye Lullaby album and I wish she came out with a video of it but listening to her live is even better
One of her band-mates gave her a belated V-day flower and wine
Her previous concert, she didn't sang any more songs when we scream encore. This time is so much better! To make it more fun, she switch places with her band-mates for "Pumped Up Kicks". She played the guitar and one of her band-mate sang. He's quite good too.
Loving her pink & purple hair
Avril made a special video to thank all her fans for going to her Black Star Tour. She made it after her last stop of her tour which is in MALAYSIA! Yeah!

We love you too Avril! You will always be our ROCK STAR! Continue to ROCK HARD!
A very blur pic of Avril's hardcore fans!

Maroon 5 Makes Me Wonder ~ ♥

This post is so over due but is better then never posting it.

Maroon 5 came to KL for their first time LIVE concert at Stadium Bukit Jalil on 29th April 2011. It's about a week later from Justin Bieber's KL Concert. Honestly, I really do think Justin Bieber is overrated. Before he came there's already a lot of advertisements, contests, radio raving blah blah blah.... on his KL Concert. For Maroon 5? There's not even advertisement or contests which is the put-in-your-face type. Just really low profile of their arrival. I found out Maroon 5's KL Concert through newspaper and it was just a one time advertise only. I straight ran out to get tickets a month ago before the concert ;)

I know I'm poor can't get ROCK ZONE, it would be more awesome!

When I was choosing nice seats for the concert, most of the nice seats were SOLD OUT! FML! Luckily enough, I manage to get first row seats for a nice view. So that no other fanatic fans can block my view on the concert. *smirk smile*

*Flash forward* Concert day! I arrived earlier and there's already a long long long queue waiting to get into the stadium. Almost an hour later only I arrived at the entrance of the stadium to be check and get in. By this time, there's not much hyper mode for the concert =.= it was a hot day too.

Took another half more hour to wait for everyone to get into the stadium and Maroon 5's arrival. Snap pictures and didn't camwhore cos not yet hyper mode, quite sick of waiting and of course need to remain a lot of space for maximum Maroon 5 pictures!

My view from my level 1 front row seat

Concert starts quickly when Maroon 5 walks up to the stage and started singing. The concert is almost 2 hours and Adam Lavine can really sing without resting much. He can really SING! His voice is the same recorded or LIVE! There wasn't any acoustic versions for any of the songs but LIVE is already awesome enough for me! I was shouting all the time and singing along with the band. There were few fanatics seated behind me sing super loud and shouting "I LOVE YOU ADAM LAVINE!!!" all the time. Their sharp screaming kinda hurts my ear drum @.@

Towards ending of the concert ~♥

There was a lot of interaction between the band and the fans. Adam is very great ♥♥♥ At the start of the concert, everyone was still shy and very obediently sitting on their seat. He wanted the crowd to have fun so on the second song, he ask everyone to stand up. All the VVIPs in the Rock Zone just get up and move themselves upfront as close to the stage. The security guards between the stage and the fencing of Rock Zone was very protective of the band, keep asking the VVIPs to back of from the fence. There was quite a hassle there and Adam saw it. He just say: "I don't know what's the matter here (moving his hand around the security guards between the stage and the fencing of Rock Zone) but these people pay good money to enjoy the concert." I was like awww..... he is so sweet! ♥ him max! *Wish I have bought Rock Zone seats FML*

There was few more interactions between the band and the fans like hand waving, clapping and singing a short phase of the sing between two sides of fans. Adam even joke a bit. There was a few moment my heart just melts. You can really just fall for Adam in just a split second. My seat is at level 1 and Adam was just singing on stage walking around. When he walk over to the area of my seat and he look up and pointed and say "I see you, yeah!" OMFG!!! Blush and shy max! Heart melt max! ♥♥♥ I know he's not really pointed at me and see me but still, I just scream out loud!

Songs which I remember they sang in the concert (there are more which I'm too hype to remember):

1. Misery
2. Stutter
3. Give A little More
4. Hands All Over Me
5. She Will Be Loved
6.Never Gonna Leave This Bed
7. If I Never See Your Face Again
8. Wake Up Call
9. This Love
10. Won't Go Home Without You
11. Sunday Morning

The concert is perfect ♥ So much ♥ from the band and the fans! ♥ them much! Hope they will come again! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
