Hey all, a lot has happened since April and my real life have not even catch up with what is going on more along blog about it.
Anyway, this is just a quick and very short update. Let's just take it off from April. I went to Japan for a family trip and totally fell in love with the country. It even change some life perspective of mine. It's like you can never turn back once you have been to Japan. Enough said!
After Japan, it was Granpa 90th birthday. It was a big celebration/ mega reunion in my hometown. Literally almost everyone was there! Everyone had a great time. Rested for a bit. Besties of mine came to KL for a mini foodie trip. I was playing foodie tour guide. Ate so much and also had a great time with them.
Now, I'm in London. So far, I have been here for almost a week now. Jet lag is quite a bi*tch. Can't really sleep and eat right. I guess is aging, never had jet lag before though :( The weather is not that Summer yet but I think it's getting there. My body have to deal with the cold too besides of jet lag. So, I have been a walking zombie for a bit. Though the places I have been so far is very memorable. I have been to Royal Albert Hall for a Star Trek Live Concert, shop and browse around central London on Saturday and chilled out at Brighton beach on Sunday.
Can't wait to share all these adventures with you all, till then ciao!

Sri Nirwana Maju Bangsar
Celebrated this year's New Year with friends for very authentic Banana Leaf Rice lunch at Sri Nirwana Maju Bangsar.
Honestly, I never have authentic Banana Leaf Rice in my life D = *shocker* *please don't judge me* But hey! At least I have now tried and it's one of the best there is in town.
We arrived around noon and the place is already full and there was quite a long queue in front of the shop. No worries though because the waiter will take your order while you are queuing. So when it's your turn, your food will be serve immediately.
They serve your food on real banana leaf, you can request the portion of your white rice and side dishes. The side dishes are (from left) fried bitter gourd, crispy cabbage and refreshing cucumbers. The fried bitter gourd is to die for! You can also have a choice of curry or dal. I have chosen fish curry on my rice.
I guess everyone was very hungry on the first day of New Year, that we ordered so much. Each of us was served with papadum, the fried cracker look alike. I love papadum, a must have when having Indian food.
All the dishes that we ordered are (from clockwise) squid, mutton, chicken and fried fish with egg. If you are still hungry, you can still order fried chicken for your own.
Ate till so FULL! What a way to kick start a New Year! I hope your new year is so good so far. I'm craving for banana leaf rice now! Can't wait for my next visit.

DHC Eyelash Tonic
Just a short and quick post for this month. It has been a crazy month! Anyways, I just want to share with you something that most of us will probably neglect taking care of.
Our EYELASH!
Yes, feeling guilty already? In our daily cleansing routine, we take care of our face and body but always always forget to take care of our eyelashes. PS: I don't have nice eyes so the picture above will do. Credit and thanks for having such beautiful eyes.
Do you know that it takes 7 to 8 weeks just to grow back an eyelash?! Sometimes they don't even grow back? If you pull it too constant!
Our eyelash not only to brighten our eyes and making our eyes look bigger. In fact, our eyelash plays an important role. Our eyelash helps protects our eyes from debris and it also gives out warning when an object is very near to our eyes.
So how do you protect them? I used DHC Eyelash Tonic. It works likes a conditional for our eyelash. It helps strengthen our eyelash, so that they don't easily fall out. When your eyelashes are stronger, they will be prone to breakage. Cool?!
The tonic is in a clear gel form. It has smaller brush compare to mascara brush for easier application. You used it like how you apply your mascara.
The tonic consists of Aloe Vera, Watercress and Comfrey that gives full moisture to our eyelash for better elasticity.
So when do you use it? You can use as a mascara base before you apply your mascara. Or you can used it as a bedtime treatment. I usually used it as a night treatment.
Now, you have to remember to take care of your eyelash! Nitez!

Sekinchan & Fisherman Village
We will always have mini local trips, during Glyn's annual visits to KL from UK. So, last year he came end of April and we thought one of the best place to bring him around was Sekinchan & Fisherman Village.
I, myself have not been to Sekinchan too, but I did long to visit this place. Never I seen so much greenery paddy fields in my life. It was such a different scenic and to getaway from the city for just a day. If you want to see green and gold colours of paddy end of April is one of the best times. Fully golden bloom will be in May.
Well, don't want to blabber so much and just want to spam pictures. I tried my best ;)
Does it look like it comes from a movie?
The sky was so clear with all white fluffy clouds shining at the greens below. Nice? I love this picture a lot!
Erm.. Glyn said this is some insect's egg and it's pink.
A snail lurking underwater
The road less taken
Window's wallpaper?
Paddy flower
This is not your normal drive way, guess what is it?
It's a freaking huge weighting machine! It's to weight the rice that's transporting out of the factory.
After taking in this green scenery, we were a bit hungry so we headed to the fisherman village. Explore a bit and have lunch.

I want to share some of LiJing's picture. Does my picture comes any close to his?
It looks so much lively than mine.***Picture credits to LiJing
Taking the road less taken
Looks more like a hair commercial than focusing on the green paddy field? *wink wink*

Group pic! Everyone was just goofing around
Lunch time! I don't remember the name of this restaurant but it's located opposite the row of shop lots in the fisherman village. It's the second lane of the fisherman village. This fried squid is soooo good.

Kungpo chicken, I think

Redken Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense
Ever since I have tried the first bottle of Redken hair serum, I have been religiously using it from then. Until last year I found out my trusty Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide Serum has been discontinue! WHY?!

Smooth Down Heat Glide Serum
I search high and low for a replacement hair serum and found this new Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense. It is an eye opener for me and I knew again I have found a better product from Redken! Thank you =)
The Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense is a Silicone free and oil based natural hair oil. The natural oil contains olive, jojoba, coconut and sunflower seed oils. Making it naturally fragrant and pleasant to smell. The Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense helps coarse and distressed hair. It also gives hair triple times stronger and double more shine.
The best of it is that it could protect your hair from damages because it could seals, coats and smooth the hair cuticle to boost shine.
The design of the bottle is so elegant and classy. At first glance it looks like a perfume bottle. It's a bit heavy for a hair serum but it's solid. I have bring it for trips and it did not crack or break.
Unlike other hair serum usually the bottle has a pump to retrieve the serum, the Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense has a dropper. It makes you feel like a chemist happily playing with your chemicals when you apply the oil on your hair. Or maybe is just me?
I have grown out my hair last year but a lot of damages has been done to it. I have bleach, dyed (several times) and perm my hair. My hair literally feels like hay :S that's pretty bad. That is why I chose Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense instead of Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine. Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine is the same range with the Intense but it's more suitable for normal and fine hair type.

I think I probably have a lot of split ends too, just that you can't really see them close enough through these pictures.
I have been using this amazing hair oil for half a year now (still using the first bottle because it only takes two to three drops daily) and my hair looks so healthy and shine even with the normal damage dyed (once), blow drying and brushing.
Well, I did chopped of my long locks but with the daily friction I did to my hair, it still looks so good.
These short hair were taken during this Chinese New Year. I'm so happy using it. By the way, that's my baby niece and she's just faking her tears to look for her mom. Nope, I did not bully her.
Even before I cut my hair short, my hair was so much better after using this hair oil. No more frizz or dry hay feeling. Much smoother when brushing or styling my hair too.Other than the improvement you can see on my hair. This awesome hair oil has multiple usage and benefits. Tips: if you skin is dry, try using a few drops of the hair oil on your skin and it could moisturize your skin immediately.
If you like to know how you can maximize the usage of this hair oil, check out this official video from Redken.
If you are lazy to watch the video, here's how you can use the hair oil.
- You can use it before you shampoo.
- Use it as an overnight treatment.
- Mix it into your conditioner or hair mask and rinse thoroughly after 10-15 minutes.
- Use it as a pre-blow dry treatment.
- Or just use it on dry hair.
I usually use it after I have wash my hair and as an overnight treatment. I really love it as much as I love the Smooth Down Serum, *ahem* maybe even more.
